I wouldn't mind a classsic CTF map like rommel/casa/turnpike in the rotation. Still love Rommel (sigh).

wasnt till recently we put time limits on the maps.. War doesnt have timelimits so Urban Terror shouldnt have any either.. -
17 years agoMain AdminAt first I did not like having a time limit, but I have warmed up to the time limit since removing the ability for the public to vote map changes. When voting is enabled the mapcycle gets restarted when an out-of-mapcycle “map” wins a vote. The reason for turning off voting was to play all the maps on the cycle. Without time limits some maps can get drawn-out for an hour as the server empties out because of boredom. Maybe a compromise would be to increase the time limits from 25 minutes to 35 minutes? Your thoughts?

17 years agoLevel 10some maps need time limits, especially the maps that have long flag standoffs. i dont wanna play an hour and only have a team win 1-0. I think it would be cool if Urban Terror was designed if both teams were in possession of the other teams flags then they had like a 5 minute time limit to cap the flag, or they would return to the spawn. I think would definately add some intensity to the game. [ Edited Thu May 11 2006, 04:56AM ]

17 years agoLevel 10Well I like the 25 min limit works great for me some maps and game modes I don't care for so I can take a little break while that map or game mode cycles through. Also I think you can set the flag to return when the flag carrier is killed instead of having to run over the flag after you kill him, helps in a stand off on some maps i.e. turnpike. I hate standoffs I like the 5 min idea Thurman.

17 years agoMain Adminwell with that said i would prefer a timelimit over voting anyday.. 20-25 minutes is long enough for any map-=Second request=-set the flag return time to 120 seconds..
