Creeper\Um3 was complaining about a players name playing under the name "Creeper".
6thElkabong decided to warn this guy over name that clearly was not the same to the point that this gut got kicked. And CreeperUm3 decided to make it a pissing contest.

I interrupted and stated that Creeper and Creeper|Um3 were not the same name. This went ignored. Except to say 6thElkabong decided to interject tht he was on vactiob and really didn't give a shit.

This person did nothing wrong and clearly made a reasonable argument regarding his name.

The way these two admins need to be called out a nd make a public apology regarding this incident. .


This all occurred at inappropriately 12:00 - 12:30 Mountain time

It's not up to me but:
- Creeper & Creeper|Um3 are the same name because |Um3 ist just the tag. Like [$Rn]DeviL & DeviL.
- If somebody connects with "your" nick, tell him that the nick he is using is the nick of an admin on this server, most people will change it then.
- If you start warning the personen directly or just after a short "change ur name", he might feels attacked.


imho - try to talk first, use the hammer to punish later.

I completely agree with you Devil, and he did do something wrong? He was asked to change his name for using an Admin's name and decided to not change it. I myself would temp ban the guy for a week if he decided to argue about him using my name. Like Devil said, Um3 is just the clan tag an his nick is creeper.

if the player got told he is using an admins nick & decides not to change it, then it's his own fault imo.

Gee, thanks for stepping up to bat for this absolute nobody that has NEVER been on our servers before. Way to support the small guys.

Something I don't understand is how it isn't ok to kick for name collision, but it IS ok to call two admins "fuckenasshats" I see a two week ban coming.
