The server's been getting less traffic lately and over-admining doesn't help populate the server.
Agreed.
Asshats and even hackers to an extent are fun to own, don't always kick them but abuse in other ways :) -
Level 7There were two dude's that dominated the server for a couple of weeks, they both had mutliple aliases and I suspected them of having an on off auto aim, but they seemed to change UID's every other day. A steady run of 20-2 scores will drive away new players more than over admins. I have been meaning to open a topic on " what to do when more than two games in a row are blowouts"

AFAIK there's no !shuffleteams command in the superman B3. Definitely not for us regulars/non-clan admins. It'd be nice.

!shuffleteams...maybe?
Many of the superman regulars seem ready to auto correct miserable imbalances such as you're describing, poohster. It's a nice effort, but !shuffleteams would be better. -
13 years agoThu Oct 21 2010, 03:49AMLevel 10X2 Tinker. In my case i feel very bad when i see the teams oftenly so messed up and i try correct them by myself, changing team,
Dunno if we could access that !shuffleteams command, but if not, it would be fun if When server restarted, B3 would auto ahuffle them, as i´ve seen in other servers.
Close games are the funniest, i don´t mind if a single game hangs to more than an hour, that´s a sign that the 2 teams are good and is more fun to everyone, and we dont even feel the time passing -
Level 7The auto-boot of everyone on the second round does the shuffle in the end .
I love joining the low team to nudge them to a win, (mostly by the opposing teams running out of bullets shootimg me;-) ) It's just sometimes there is too bad a balance.
FWIW, the reason I susepect those two is even though they change ID's. their playing style and ping are always the same. (along with 15 aliases)
I have been tempted to do an !force on the top two when the balance is way off, but that falls into over-adminning as it punishes the better players.
I guess

13 years agoFri Oct 22 2010, 04:08AMLevel 10I believe if u separate the 2 guys ure talking about ull have more problems with them. they seem a newly wed couple who can´t be separated. If they unbalance teams u could try giving them a real test, playing against each others :)
are u talin about Rabbits? or The Naked pope guys and bishop. -
13 years agoLevel 10!shuffle is in b3. i cant remember what level its at on fsk's servers, but i dont have it at 50. however, i believe level 40 up have !force and !force lock which can be used for shuffling teams where really necessary. Be careful not to artificially engineer the teams though. Someone has to win and someone has to lose. If every game was a draw they would be long and tedious games. I would always suggest moving yourself / asking other admins and regs to move (and only then when absolutely necessary) before starting to shuffle or force.

Level 8us 30s can fake force by stacking teams and them using !teams
it actually works pretty well, because the assumption is that the admin doing it
is pretty decent, and b3 only moves non-regs.
i rarely do that however. because "Someone has to win and someone has to lose."
but sometimes admins are the worst stackers in the skill sense :)
nothing to do there :P

Yeah, every now and then I'll "pro-rate" my skills if I'm on the winning team and don't want to switch. (i.e. I've already switched in the past.) I'll drop all autos and go SR8 + DE only. Another 'pro-rate' tactic is to camp a spawn point. Either takes my presence in the game down a notch - sometimes enough to make the game more competitive.
