FSK405 2018 BBQ (Official Agenda)

For 2018 we will continue to keep with same the established agenda. The welcome kick-off will be at Frogs house . The BBQ and game festivities at the Buzzkill’s house and a lake day at Canyon Lake.
The basic schedule and dates are as follows
• Thursday and Friday Arrivals (coordinate pick-up times and lodging)
• Friday, May 25, 2016 (arrivals and evening welcome social, Frogs house) (4-6pm -11pm)
• Saturday May 26, 2016 (BBQ, Games (details to come) and fun) (11am - whenever)
• Sunday, May 27, 2016 (Lake day, sunbathing boating etc...) (10am - dark)
Thursday May 24: (For those that want an extended vacation)
Morning through Evening – Flight Arrivals – If you Opt to arrive early you are pretty much on your own. This is a great time to visit some of the interesting area in and around the Austin Area. My recommended hit list:
Gruene Texas - Dining, Shopping, and Gruene Hall (live music at the oldest standing dance hall in Texas)
Wimberley Texas - Shopping, Art Galleries, Wimberley days, Wimberley Brewery and Brewster pizza.
Fredericksburg Texas - Art Galleries, Wineries and tasking rooms, The National Museum of the Pacific ware (formerly the Nimitz Museum (VERY IMPRESSIVE))
San Marcos: The biggest outlet mall in America. Makes my checkbook hurt just thinking about it.
Austin, Buda, Kyle host of other fun places to shop and visit
Friday May 25: (Frogs Official Meet and Greet)
4pm till Frog decides its over -- Frogs House in New Braunfels Texas: The first kick-off event starts in New Braunfels at frogs Casa. Tasty Texas Fajitas are on the menu. Sit on the back porch and enjoy conversations and libations. Maybe even throw a game of washers to warm up for the Saturday tournament or prepare for a game of cards against humanity. Always an awesome time.
Saturday May 26 (The Official BBQ Day)
11am to whenever -- Buzzkill's Backyard in Kyle Texas
The Menu: Eat drink and be merry (all day) Main course served around 2-4 pm
Meats
• 2-3 Large Smoked Briskets
• Pork, Beef, and Boudin Sausage
• Pork Ribs
• Beef Ribs
• Smoked Chicken (Whole and Thighs)
• Smoked Turkey
• And any road kill we can find
Sides
• Beans, Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Cole Slaw
• Tons of Appetizers (cheese balls, Salsa, Queso etc….) Locals are welcome to bring their favorite dish
• Deserts
Activities:
• Washers Tourney
• Chipping Contest
• Possibly Darts
• If time permits 9pm Poker game/Texas Hold’em tournament $10 entry fee.
NOTE outdoor activities are dependent upon weather conditions.
Sunday May 27:Noon till Dusk
Lake party at Canyon Park, Canyon Lake (specific location: Shelter #1, first shelter before entering the park gate), There will be left-over food from the BBQ and likely a boat or two. I will have maps available at Saturdays BBQ party.
Monday May 28: (Memorial Day):
All day - Wrap Up and Goodbyes - If you stayed for all the events, this is the day to wrap and travel home. We will assist in any trips to the airport etc if needed

Shelter #1 seemed to be super awesome last year...we didn't have to fight the crowded line to get into the park!
Sounds like an awesome party if there ever was one!

Wanted to extend my thanks and appreciation to the hosts "Buzzkill, Frog, Littlefoot" for everything you all did to make the 2018 BBQ a success. Fun-filled drama free good times with fantastic company and outstanding food. Its quite an undertaking for the hosts to put together, and very appreciated that the spouses not only allow the event to happen, but help make it happen. Thanks,
It was also a pleasure to meet up with some new faces and hang with some old friends. Well lets face it, your all old friends just some I have never met face to face. I also have to extend a special thanks to all the spouses/partners that took the time to hang with the FSK405 crew. Awkward "Hay spouse, you want to hang out with my Nerd Crew over Memorial?" - Shockingly "Yes"
Was really a good time and I look forward to meeting with you all again, in addition to meeting those I have yet to meet.

Another amazing year. Thank you all for making this possible. I cant imagine the stress and prep but your hard work makes this my fav weekend every year. Thanks again for letting me be part of another year of memories I hope we never forget!
