I might not make it to this years BBQ after all. I committed to a project at work and it was supposed to end a week before Memorial day weekend. Now it looks like it will end a week after...

Let us know for sure what's going on. If we have to, maybe some of us could pool together to buy the cabin either off you or off the site if it's still available. It seems that if 2 of us do it together, it's about the same as a good hotel room, and if 3 or more do, it's a no brainer.

I am sure it will be available as soon as I cancel it. It is actually a house (with pool and hot tub) literally down the road from Buzzkill's pad. You are right the price is very similar to what I paid for when I got 3 hotel rooms one year.No free breakfast but if Risk heals up and shows up I hear he can cook a mean breakfast for sure. Hopefully I will be on tonight and we will talk about it .... i passed out extra early last night unfortunately.

Sorry ladies and gentlemen for the extended absence, but I'm back with a vengeance.
I have booked the flight, and my wife is joining. Risk and the Mrs. will be in attendance.

Group accommodations sound great. The LaQuinta in Kyle was fine last time, but I'm open to wherever.

Damn I hear Risk makes a mean Breakfast! I cancelled the house I had picked out. I think Mellow is working on a 5 bedroom house to accommodate all of you partiers...I think it would be really cool to have a bunch of killer fun friends all at the same house...Wish I could be there this year (there is always a small sliver of hope) but sadly work comes first (they pay my bills).

wow I just reread your post...that sucks they refused your reservation for no reason :( I am sure the place I initially booked is still available but it only has 3 bedrooms.

I guess nobody updated this thread since then. We had a plan A and plan B. He was referring to plan B being cancelled, I believe. It was the closer option with more space for more people and stuff, so we were maybe leaning toward it more. But plan A was still available and has been booked. This option has 5 separate rooms for each of us to have our own room, with maybe some room for a few more people if anybody else needs a place to stay.

Why would you want to come only Sunday night, after all the group activities are over, and lots of people are leaving the next day? I can tell you that the place is in Fentress, but I don't think I have an exact address. I'm not sure if the links give that info, anyway, nor should it necessarily be posted publicly if it did. Maybe if you're still determined to come for such a short visit with a limited group of us, you could PM Yoda about it or something.

I just wanted to see the pad that's all Thirsty.
I have a project at work that I committed to and it has extended a week longer than it was supposed to. So now instead of ending a week before memorial day it is supposed to end literally on Monday May 28th. I might be able to sneak out a day early and take Sunday off then I would at least be able to see some of my friends that I only see once a year.
Trust me I want to be there for the whole weekend and if I am able I will be there...If I can only make it Sunday and a few days after I will be there for that.
I have a friend in town who I know I can stay with so I am not trying to crash at yalls pad I just wanted a glimpse of the sweet spot yall were able to get.
