19 years agoLevel 10Hi all, getting harder with each passing day to be upbeat about this shit. $ Marines sniped and a Korean being beheaded along with all the other stuff going on around here makes me wonder sometimes if it's worth it but I just keep thinking about the kids, hopefully we'll be able to give them some type of life before this is all over. I got some rumors going around wish I could share them but can only put down past events nothing that could even remotely be used against us. Could be pretty interesting if they come true. Things been pretty busy here so haven't had a chance to get some pics reduced so i don't send those monster pics anymore but will try real hard to get some posted by this weekend. Earl I sent your dinars today and Minus I'll be sending yours tomorrow. Anyone else wanting some needs to let me know and I'll ship some out to you.
BTW thanks AidsMonkey for the package I hope you didn't use your handle when you sent it. Picture my 1st Sgt going "Sgt Kukas you got a package from a.....AidsMonkey....Sgt Kukas come and see me after we get done with mail please." Take care all and remember "When the going gets tough...The tough go cyclic." -
Level 1Silly request, but could you snap a pic or two of camel spiders if you happen to come across such a beast and post them?

19 years agoLevel 4Hey Dgrunt,
Keep up the good work and please remember you are right about the kids. Kids are what keeps us and other countrys going strong.
Dgrunt you and three others of my friends are over there and each day passes I say thanks to you and them for what you have done for us.
OKOK some might pick on me and some might not but I have to say this.
The other day Dgrunt I read about a WAR WAR II vet that received 27 medals during the war with the Germens. After reading about him and how he was a brave 5' 5" 110 lb young man of age 17 or 18. They say he might have fake his birth papers to get in the army. I just sat there staring at the computer thinking this man and others during the War War II for giving us what we have today our freedom. While still staring at the screen, I started to think about you and the guys and gals over there in Iraq and my friends........................I started to smile with a tear in my eye...............How Proud to be living in the USA. Thanks man Thank you so much---------Now go help thoses kids. 8) ------------- *:) -
19 years agoThu Aug 31 2006, 11:06PMLevel 10Well boys and girls, its been a interesting couple of days. Yesterday while on shift we had a van pull in to load up some stuff from one of the buildings here and since it was Iraqi driven by Iraqis I had to search the vehicle. The outside inspection went fine but once I opened the drivers door and started inspecting the cab things got interesting. First thing I see is a taped wrapped device with wires and switches coming out of it, after a couple of tense moments I find out its a jury rigged system for the horn. Next continuing my search I find a AK47 with 2 mags taped together in between the two seats. I yell gun to my partner and he immediatly draws down on the group of Iraqis around me. I secure the weapon and move the occupants to a safe distance and ask them if they have any more surprises for me. Turns out they do....a pistol loaded with 2 more mags for it. After some fast talking on thier part we find that they have a legit reason to carry the weapons so we log them in and move them in. [ 72_ak47.jpg ]

19 years agoThu Aug 31 2006, 11:07PMLevel 10The next morning working the same area when WHAM!!!!! thiers a loud explosion about 50 meters away. Once we pick ourselves up from where we took cover we find a mortar round detonated within 50 meters of us and if we didn't have the wall between us we probably would of been peppered, Pics included are of the AK the impact crater and some fragments. And it should get more interesting in the next couple of days with the change of power coming up. [ 72_mortar1.jpg ]
