FSK BBQ - Boudin...

Explorateur, Wed Apr 15 2015, 12:08AM

So I will be heading to the BBQ and on my way I pass through Louisiana which has the best Boudin to offer. So I will stop by a store or two and pick some up. Anyone want some? Let me know and how many lbs. I have just bought a new 150 Quart cooler so I have plenty of room to pick up whatever ya'll want just let me know.

I have found a web site that lists Louisiana boudin by grade:
http://boudinlink.com/boudin-by-grade/

This place sounds good - and is close to I10 (the route I am taking), not sure about the "spice/heat" being "medium" if that's what people typically want. Another plus is they open early (since I am trying to get to San Antonio by noon-ish)
It doesn't say if the Boudin is smoked or not or show that as an option though :(
I have found some places after further digging to have a decent amount of MSG - something to look into if ya'll are worried about that lol.

I talked to Zim the other day and he told me the best place to get Boudin is at:
http://mbsmokehouse.com/
I talked to the supervisor of the meat department and he said that 100# will fit in a 150 quart cooler so that is what I will get. All of which will be smoked.
He highly recommended the Jalapeno Boudin but I dont know if anyone would want some of that or not. If so drop me a line.
i expect Buzzkill with his l33t skillz to grill up some Boudin when we all get there.
