FSK405 BBQ 2015

Explorateur, Wed Jan 28 2015, 02:01AM

Had to start a new thread!

So apparently the bbq is in full swing and the FSK guys are willing to have the party at a house on the lake (Canyon Lake).

What do ya'll think on a totally kick ass place to eat some serious Texan BBQ and have the opportunity for even better fellowship?

The top spot on my list is:
taken...we need to find more :)

ya'll got any better spots picked out?

The sooner ya'll decide the sooner we have an awesome party pad on lock down!

XP :)

Unfortunately they cancelled our reservation:

"We’ve received your reservation request earlier this morning. Unfortunately we’re not able to take this reservation as we received a previous inquiry on a different property regarding the use of one of our properties for a company BBQ. I would love to accommodate your group, but none of our homes can handle the strain of 50 as they all are on septic tanks, wells, and located in residential areas with limited parking. I’m talking to a colleague of mine that has 4 condos each sleeping 8 with plenty of parking, and room."

Should have not said anything and just reserved it. Maybe next year :(

ok so i screwed up the house party...I plan on making hotel reservations instead (most unfortunate). If the party is at Buzzkill's house then I guess Buda would be the place to stay? (there is not much in Kyle and San Marcos is booking fast).

I am considering staying at the Holiday Inn, in Buda. The rooms that I think would suite us best are the one room queen suite.
It has two queen beds, and a pull out sofa in another room.
I would like to get a hotel room that can accommodate people that can't afford to come to the party without a place to crash.
With this being said I would be willing to reserve two of these rooms if we think we have enough interest in people from out of town coming. -I would like to reserve a room sooner than later to save some cash and ensure we have a decent place to stay. :)

I ended up reserving a room at the Hampton Inn in Buda. I got the two queen beds so if someone needs a place to crash and doesn't mind staying with XP (rofl) its all good.
