Game won't launch

So, I played fine on my desktop about 4 weeks ago. I have been traveling for work for the last several weeks and haven't tried to join. Last week, I did join via my iPad playing commander for 2 maps.

I come home and now my game won't launch on my PC. I updated the nVidia driver that was released while I was gone. I have repaired and checked for updates on BF4 to no avail.

What happens is I launch the game/join on friend (I have dual screens too btw never been a problem before) I give the game some time to connect, load, etc. When I click on the taskbar to bring the game up it fails.

Windows gives a message that it will give me a fix when it receives one from the program.

This is as far as I can get after a couple days troubleshooting.


Anyone have any ideas what to do next?

is bf4 installed on boot drive ? do you have an extra drive to do clean OS install , and test from there ?

Yeah BF4 is on my SSD. Reformating is on my "to do" list, but with all the work and travel I have on my horizon, getting the time to do a fresh install is a ways out.

This happens to me once in a while. Try logging out of Origin and Battlelog. Make sure all other devices like your ipads are completely logged out. Give it a few minutes and log back in. Hope this helps.

ipads??? Interesting cause I did play some commander while out of town via the ipad.
Render time: 0.033 cpu sec (54.00% load, 0.014 startup). Clock: 0.06 sec (39% of that for queries)  Memory: 1.18MB/2.00MB
