GreenEyes, Wed Apr 16 2014, 01:35PMI know many of you travel for a living and was hoping to get some advice. I would like to send my daughter to NY to visit her boyfriend for a graduation gift. Prices are way out of my price range =( Wondering if anyone could give me advice on when the cheapest time to buy tickets is?? He has been here 8 times in the past 2 yrs Its her turn for a visit if mom can afford it lol..

United has direct from Seatac to Newark. How long is the stay? Here's an example of how much United charges for a 4 day stay (same price for a 10 day stay) flying out on a Sat. The good, at $298 is a great price. The bad, they are early flights but since its cross country landing times are not bad. Hope this helps give you some

Yeah I would LOVE to pay that rate.. The thing is she's flying in June I was looking at The 25th to July.9th.. Yes from Seatac to Buffalo or Rochester.. I am also looking into August she will be 18 on the 6th. Today when looking one of the cheap flight places said she must be 18 to ride without an adult. BUT direct airlines appear to let them fly at 13... So frustrating. Thanks for your help R :)

Have you tried looking into airports ~100 km off the city and renting a car to go to NY?

Nooooo its hard enough letting her go on an airplane she sure as hell isn't going to drive. Pretty certain that wouldn't be any cheaper. Thanks though :)

spirit air flys to NY and portland. budget prices but the routing is a challenge between the two.
