Map requests for November 2013 cycle?
LadyHellfire*, Wed Oct 02 2013, 04:57PMTrying something out. There have been some map requests for the next cycle, so why not give you guys a chance to help create the November 2013 map cycle for our Pub Server!
Basically, it will include about 18 maps. Generally, we like to include some stock FS maps, and next month's lead-off map was going to be Algiers (got a better choice?). Since the Pub will generally start populating with a small number of players, we like to stay away from including larger maps, and instead "DJ" those in once the server gets going. There are exceptions, of course.
We also like to include two or three "weapons limited" maps; examples would be this month's "weapons limited" maps "kickoff3" and "killhouse," which are limited to knives, nades, and pistols, and knives, nades, pistols, and snipers (accordingly).
So... let's build a map cycle!!!

If someone contacts the original creators of these, I would be VERY happy to update them for UrT 4.2.

Unfortunately, the fine folks at FS sealed up a bit of Q3 fun that makes that map unplayable now. Q3 maps that did not incur falling damage previously now do. I will double check it though. Q3ctfvoy was another I loved playing, now it is crap IMO.FSK405|EZ

There is a sweet 4.1 map that is similar to Christmas or Circuit Board...I think it's called "Toys". Not a huge map, but some fun hidden tunnels and lifts. A little easier to figure where those are than Circuit Board. Maybe that could be updated.

It has Daleks, R2D2s, etc. CTF is a bit wonky on it unfortunately. Spazz makes incredible maps, but CTF is usually a bit rough, unless there are enough people on the server, and enough of them are familiar with the map. Usually we DJ those in (especially RIP for CTF), but mostly we play Bomb on them (much like Aardtimes, Nuclear, etc). If enough people wanted it, with not too many objections, it could be in there.
