Yes you will have to have 2 separate installs one for 4.1 and 4.2. they cannot be in the same game folder.

4.2 is NOT a patch, it is an independent install with new weapons.

well, i really do wanna download it but on the website:
http://www.urbanterror.info/downloads/ ........it says installer/updater on the 4.2, so isn't it gonna update my 4.1 to 4.2?

Blade. Think of 4.2 as a completely new game like Pong or Space Invaders. You wouldn't install a different game inside your 4.1 folder would you? Well, you're capable of almost anything, but don't do that. Instead, after you download the installer, just go into your windows pc, open computer/C: and create a brand new folder there. Call it anything you want. I named mine 'Games'. Run the 4.2 installer there. Now you will have 4.2 without overwriting 4.1. Voila, both games are on your computer (in different folders) and you can play each of them! Good luck and don't hurt yourself or others in the process.

blade, invalid game folder means that you still have illegal content in your harddrive... are you sure you deleted all of it? Last time I got that "Invalid game folder" issue, a cop came by my house... :(

At night in the bedroom with my wife, she sometimes says invalid folder. It's dark and a folder is a folder to me.

if u mean the illegal torrent download i did, well, to my information i deleted it all....and i washed out my windows...but if the 'invalid game folder' tells me i have illegal stuff, then how come it didn't come before that day?
