reasonable admins
Tilmann, Mon Apr 08 2013, 12:27PMI still believe admins should be there to help people. i was recently asked to read the rules :D, and find that there are definitly admins who dont stand to the rules themselves. now i dont want to complain too much, but i think that the users and especially the admins could be a bit nicer to noobs. as the rules say the server should be noob-friendly and it isnt. being muted for being better than an admin (and i didnt say anything, was not being an asshole) is not nice.

Why didn't you post this WHEN it happened, so that admins could look it up? At 500 chat messages per page, do you know how long it would take to find what you are talking about?
Usually, when something like this happens, I either do a condump or go into Echelon and copy and paste all pertinent info into a txt document. This was so trivial that I didn't think it was necessary. What was that, about 2 weeks ago?

I somehow fail to see a connection between you (a regular) being muted for a few minutes and admins allegedly being unfriendly to noobs.
Also we're only human and if one had a bad day or just had to deal with x amount of asshats before, your actions/comments might just be the last straw. So cut us some slack if we (over-)react once in a while.
In general I think all admins are doing a great job, and the atmosphere between all the players (admins, regulars & noobs alike) is much nicer than on other servers.

I think it's an example of admins becoming sensitized to your actions. At first it's tolerated, but as time goes by, they become less and less patient. You have not had problems with just one admin. It seems there are several that have muted, warned, kicked, or temp banned you. There are 9 or ten admins that have taken action against you (not counting B3). I like playing against you because it's a challenge. Your mouth just detracts from the game. To be fair, this is not all of the time, but it does happen a lot.

The fact is we never know what happens to people before they begin a game of URT. As mature understanding people we have to take a step back and breath a little and take a different approach to the day or even the situation at hand. I know you to be a great competitor and player and I have never had an issue during game play with you. You have showed maturity and understanding and always have a laugh during a match. Remember why we are all here...."TO HAVE FUN". Sometimes &^%$ happens. Don't take it to heart, fact is you are here to have some fun. Remember, none of us are perfect and we all make mistakes and we have to lean a little when people seem to be making weird decisions that rub us the wrong way. Love EZ :-)

Being muted is not the worst thing that could happen anyway. I agree that you didn't say much in the case that you are talking about, but like I said, some admins and other players are quick to respond to "the same old same old" after multiple instances with a player. You have to admit, by your chat style, that you try to get under the skin of opponents.
B3 is the bot that runs the server when certain offenses occur. You may have noticed players using certain words that are not allowed, and then they get slapped and muted for a few minutes. It's just set up to do that automatically. It's the server and not an admin. Same with TKing. 3 TKs in a certain length of time and you are kicked by the server and temp banned for X amount of minutes.
I believe a warning should be issued before any action by an admin (except botting, hacking, or repeatedly, purposely TKing). If a mute occurs, it should only be for a few minutes. THEN the player should be unmuted to see if he will stop what he was doing. After that, I guess it's a much longer mute.

i agree with tilman...because u admins are making us look like animals....u guys think muting is not a big deal....but when we do a little thing(i.e. just say that other admins are nicer...etc)admins get furious as a wild tiger does when he sees a human!!!its not all the admins...but its a few

BLADE !! Some thoughts I would like to share with you...... although I do recognize your enthusiasm I must say your approach is a bit aggressive. Let me put it this way... When you walk into a party, do you slap everyone in the ass and say HEY!! Great to meet you!!...... I hope you don't. You see this aggressive type of approach can hinder your acceptance in any social situation. Might I suggest a more laid back approach.......Watch listen and learn here in the forums and perhaps restrain from being too forthwith when making comments and try your best not to offend people. Just my personal thoughts for you.

I am with Boogie and know the admins do a great job. I know this because I troll these forums looking for ass hats that ask why they were banned. I have only seen one dispute which was handled AMAZINGLY well.
Luckily for you Boogie, FSK, and the current admins have patience...I would have banned you and every one else that smarts off at the crack of a bat!
