Question - Anyone know how to embed a web link into an image or word in an e-mail? To avoid a lengthy web link in an e-mail

thanks

copy & paste the link into your document, let it turn into a link (you know, how ever that happens) then right click on it and pick "edit hyperlink", at the top of the dialog box is a box labeled "Text to display:", it will have the hyperlink you just pasted in it. Simply delete the text in the box and put your own text...it will show up as a clickable word in your document. (I only know this because I use it all the time at work.) I've never tried to make a picture into a hyperlink, but I'm sure it can be done. I hope this helps and is accurate for you.

i use bit.ly to shorten links
and goog.le is another i think. there are several link shorteners out there. and bit.ly tracks clicks on links, so you can see when someone reads them.
