Question: What are the best weapons in BF3 for each soldier class

Most of the time I choose badly my weapons or just use the next unlocked one without really caring about the details. I am a bit lazy on that one and have some difficulties to understand all the details of each weapon. So guys I would like to have your input about weapons in BF3.
If I had to use only 1 weapon for a soldier class what are the best weapon as

It really depends. I have at least 300 kills on almost every weapon. They all have their advantages. You have to get about 100-150 kills with a weapon to really "master" that weapon.
Recon: the M98B is the strongest, but it is bolt action. You could run around with a shotgun or PDW instead. So, it's hard to say which is the best.
For the other classes, it is a matter of preference and load out. If you are playing hardcore, use a weapon that might have less spread but more rapid fire. If you are playing normal, go with more powerful and shoot with less burst.

M16A3/M16A4/AEK971/M416
Support:
M27IAR/MG36/L86A2
PKP Pecheng is unique with heavy per bullet damage but hi recoil.
Engineer:
MTAR21/ACW/G36C/A-91
Lots of people like the M4A1
Recon:
Don't use it much but in general M98B is regarded as best.
I like the P90 as a PDW on this class.

it all depends on the game play... different weapons for different roles. conquest on a large map or team deathmatch on a close quarters map.
