  • All players must have a *proper* connection
Pre-rant: Only two rounds tonight, but both were overtime nail-biters… Round 1: Ramelle Facilitator: fudaddy SUB: -DankRider- Red Captain: Skyfaller Blue Captain: Glock Red = 01 Blue = 00 Overview: Holy cow what an epic match. Seventy minutes for just one cap? Are you kidding me? First time captain Skyfaller gets the win for red. Thanks to everyone for their patience during the difficulty with Ricochet, this round was certainly worth it. Blue put heavy pressure on the bridge and looked like they would score early, but red rallied and pushed back to midfield. Regulation was a whole lot of dying, but no flag running – not far anyway. An overtime flag standoff was made more interesting with no hot potato time, and blue wisely took advantage of that fact by hiding their flag in the tower. After what seemed like forever red was able to storm the tower and return, but blue denied the score only ten feet from the red flag. The tunnels ended up being the key to victory for Skyfallers red Single Nadies, and mucho props to Glocks blue MidnightStreakers for a hell of a fight.
Round 2: Filtration Facilitator: fudaddy SUB: -none- Red Captain: Frog Blue Captain: risk Red = 04 Blue =05 Overview: Back and forth overtime grudge match. The bad blood between these two captains goes waaaay back. Blue blasted out of their corner with two very quick caps. Reflux played meatshield for Dgrunt, allowing him to score in the first minute of play. At one point blue had a four to one lead, but Frog somehow persuaded his red team to keep up the pressure, and tied it up with just a minute remaining. Fortunately not as long in overtime as the last round, risk limped back to base with the winning flag, while his teammates did their best Secret Service impressions shielding the president. Sorry Frog, you just got demoted to tadpole…
Round 3: n/a Facilitator: SUB: -none- Red Captain: Blue Captain: Red = 01 Blue = 07 Overview:

LOL XP LAST PLACE!!! Quick, take a screenie of the screenie and save it in a 20 alphanumerical+symbol passworded .rar file with 128 bit encryption and on top of that make a .rar file of the .rar with another password and 128 bit encryption and upload it to every single ftp server that exists!!!

Well... atleast he showed up, unlike me... memorizing latin/greek terms in the library =(

Amazing 2 rounds FSK and Friends - best 2 rounds in a looooong time! Finally a couple of rounds that weren't guaranteed blow-outs (like AssTone wrecking Poo Daddy for the 100th time) or sure-fire wins (like Keeper vs anyone [esp. AssTone])! :)

Congrats to both Skyfaller and Glock for being kinda new and stepping up to captain - well done you two! The n00bage didn't end there. BPE (otherwise known as SpecialK), an old and crusty Urt veteran, decided to flex his muscles this week. Nice to see the scrims bringing out the best in everyone!

Round 1 was such an intense endurance match! XP called for an easy victory for Red early on. Not sure if he was was paying attention to the teams, but boy was he mistaken! His gaygles were barely a deterrent for what Glocks's band of bullies were throwing at Red. Not sure what it was like on Blue, but being Red felt like being at the beach during a hurricane. Nothing but a relentless onslaught of mother nature's fury from team Blue. Still wondering exactly how Red snatched the victory in this one, but soooo glad we did - whew! One for the annals of FSK and Friend Scrims for sure!

Round 2 Filtration was just as intense but didn't take as long. Blue mounted a heroic yet shortfall comeback from what was a quick 4-0 deficit where we saw the match slipping away from us in a New York minute. Pop quiz - what does the D in Dgrunt stand for? Deception - that's what! Note to all future captains: you want a rainmaker or game decider, go with Captain D(eception)Grunt for a spirit breaking difference maker on your roster. He does it every time! Way to go again Dgrunt! GG Blue! GG's FSK & Friends!

Outstanding rant, AceTone. Agreed on all points. And thanks for the screenshot.
Anyone else, feel free to contribute YOUR rant!

Though Glock and Skyfaller may have initially picked the wrong map, they certainly chose the right teams.
Way to go guys.

Big shout out to fudaddy for facilimatating.
That meant I could captain up and slice me some Frog. ;)

Regarding captaining up for a round: More people need to volunteer. It's easy and fun, really!

First, both captains decide on a map, then they choose teams.
Just like kickball on the schoolyard. With guns.
That's it. Nothing to it at all, and the facilitator is there to help.

You can try out any crazy-ass strategy you like, or just tell your team "Kill enemy. Capture flags. Go."
Plus, you could be part of an epic rivalry, like fudaddy vs AceTone, risk vs Frog, or Reflux vs ....well anyone I guess, but that's not the point.
The point is, captaining is fun and you should do it! There.

I look forward to seeing you all in future scrims.
Happy Trails!

I was trying to encourage my team with my comments and encourage our awesome captain who picked them...in the end I was right - we won (not that I had anything to do with that obviously) :)
Trancer is trying to take Acetone's place as my arch nemesis I think....

GG! Lots of Fun!
