Looking for some information as to why I was banned.
IronMaiden, Mon May 28 2012, 09:01PMHi, I was recently banned by "rabbit" on the Superman CTF server. I was previously known as "Cyaniide". Some of you probably remember me because of "striketrooper" and the whole TK-ing incident. Well, it's been a whole year since that incident, and I would just like to know the reason I was banned today. I asked rabbit why I was banned, and he said to search on this website. All I could find was something about a 3 week ban. This was almost a year ago. I asked him if I got a perma-ban and that's why he was banning me, but he said there was no perma-ban? So, what I want to know is, why was I banned? Am I still banned for the TK-ing incident? Was it a perma-ban? If not, then why am I still banned? Thanks for the help, I really enjoy this server and would hate to not be able to play it.

I cannot see any ban, temporary or permanent, in force on your player ID. I am confused as to why you say you have been banned. Have you tried to connect and failed?
I would rather not trawl the logs to see the shit-talking between you and rabbit, so unless you have further cause for complaint, please assume you can play as normal and post back here or pm me if you cannot connect.

Hello and thank you for the response, I have tried to connect but gotten the words "Banned." It's been like this since last night when rabbit kicked me. Just want to know why he even kicked/banned me in the first place.

First of, I neither kicked nor banned you. that was someone from outside with rcon access, who wasn't connected (boogie I think).

I have no idea why you could connect this day. I think something might have gone wrong with the ban (ID was @3000+ something)

Javielo has been TempBanned several times for rules 2 and 5, plus a couple of others. He has almost worn B3 out with Team Damage over limit. He's gone now, just a memory (a bad one).

Oh, thanks for the help. I have been connecting and playing for a couple of weeks now, had no idea that I was supposed to be permabanned. Anyway, thank you all for your help.

It was I who banned you (again). When you announced your other name as Cyaniide, a bell went off in my head and I began searching. I then noticed that you had been PERMABANNED on the old Superman server. I then typed, for you to read, that you had been PERMABANNED on 9/3/2011. Then, I banned your IP (which, as before, is the same as Striketrooper's). Once a player is PERMABANNED, it is for keeps and does not expire, as you incorrectly assumed. Here is the info from the old server, just to refresh your memory...

Also, I didn't like Striketrooper's response the other day which was "I HATE YOU ALL" and then rage quit, so if this affects him, like it did before, it's probably for the best.

I really didn't know I was supposed to be banned. I had been connecting everyday for weeks straight, how was I supposed to know that I wasn't supposed to be there. None of the admins said anything.

I just checked and it said deactivated. I'll be sure to remove your IP from the ban list. That may have been the problem.
