Where's the jump? I was expecting a jump!

Man, I can hit the bottom of those pillars so hard that I ramp up high enough to break my legs. What's the significance of this jump? I've watched it 3x now.

In a typical circle jump to the right, you look to the right and gain speed. This makes you look away from pillars so you can't shoot. Here you look to the left but you are still able to curve your body to the right and gain speed.
