AI Bots in Urban Terror?
IronMaiden, Mon Jun 27 2011, 05:48PMHey guys, didn't really know where to post this. But anyway, I was wondering, is it possible to play human vs. bots, if you make your own non-dedicated server? I'm going to be in a place with no wifi for a few days, so I was wondering if there was anyway I could play Urban Terror. Thanks for the help. :D

it can be tricky to get to work right. Try this though, it's what I do to play bots.
1. Remove all third party maps from your q3urt folder. The only one there should be the zpack.
2. /bot_enable 1 when you open Urt. I tihnk you might have to restart after that so close it and reopen.
3./map ut4_algiers. Other maps can get frustrating, bots seem to understand this one.
4. Join blue. Bots fail on algiers when they're blue. when you add bots put them on red.
5. Add bots with this format
/addbot (type) (level) (team) (ping) (server nick)
the (type) should use one of the following bot file names, level 1-5 is difficulty, 5 is the hardest.
boa
cheetah
chicken
cobra
cockroach
cougar
goose
mantis
penguin
puma
python
raven
scarab
scorpion
tiger
widow
level 2 and 3 are good to start to see how the bots work, play against 2-3 of them. Experiment wit h the bot names, each one has a different loadout. I used to have them in a config but i deleted it =| When I play them i eventually work up to 2 level 4's and 1 level 5.

i very much doubt bots would work on superman.
also, even after you delete all of your 3rd party maps it tends to crash the game a lot, for me at least.

Crashing was a feature left in the Canadian version of UrT.
