We have a unified team of Um3, 6th, and FSK405 members setting up a 6-v-6 and a 2-v-2 Password protected Ladder on Fragged Nation gaming site. This Ladder will have defined rules that will blanket both ladders. The two ladders will be run in a controlled professional manor overseen by a transparent multi clan group of Head Admin's. These Ladders in fragged nation terms are called an "Password Protected - Open Ladder". The goal is to give our community members and trusted teams an opportunity to compete in a slightly more controlled environment without being required to be in a clan. The fragged Nation team is almost ready to make this formal announcement kicking off the Ladders.
Suggestion:
The current UrT Fragged Nation Game Directors and Head Admins could assist facilitating a Ladder-or-League using Fragged Nations existing system. This would be called a Private Ladder in Fragged Nations terms. This Ladder or League would not be bound to the Open Ladders rules, as it would run independently. The only restrictions would be any limitations to Fragged Nations Ladder/League system. I doubt many.
Point Being:
If as a community wants to compete and gets a group of admins to facilitate the operations I/We the Fragged Nation Game Directors and Head Admins will help teach you how to use their system. We would not interfere or restrict any of the Superman Ladder/League rules.

This sounds good, I'll reserve judgement until I see the specifics but I think having a site that has run tournaments before backing it is much better than just a community driven league.
Any ETA on the announcement?

Some of us are committed to the Fn league and also FTW. I've been playing in the Sunday night scrims for years, so I'm already committed to play 3 nights a week (if playing in all 3). I would be interested in a Superman league as well, but that would mean 4 nights. Don't know if I could do it. I play that much anyway, just can come and go as I please. Would still like to see it take off.

maybe there should be a poll on what timezone people are in, I think a late afternoon / early evening time (EST) is probably the best time.
If it's on a week day it should give time for people on the west coast to finish work and get home which means about 9pm EST which is bad for europeans if they want to play.
The weekend would maybe be better because you could have the match in the afternoon, but be careful of conflicts because I know of at least 2 leagues that are currently in season and 1 league that isn't that all run on Sunday.
So Saturday is probably the best day, I would say from 3pm EST - 7pm EST is the best time slot to accommodate east coast, west coast and europe.

Yeah, honestly I don't think superman is a good map for bomb mode in general, no offense.
The only other gametype I could see working on superman is capture and hold, and nobody plays that.

I completely disagree, I think superman is well laid out for Bomb and CAH. The bomb/flag/spawn locations were well thought out. Most folks just dont know the location layout well enough. Inside info, some of the arrows were placed in their location to facilitate bomb and CAH.

to preface this post I just want to say that this is meant to be constructive criticism and that superman is my favourite map and bomb is my favourite gametype.
I think that the blue side advantage on CTF is nothing compared to the red side advantage on bomb.
the bomb sites are too easy to defend once the bomb is planted, and planting is not difficult if the entire red team goes to 1 bomb site and the blue team is stuck defending both sites, thus cutting their numbers in half.
unless the bomb explode time was very long and the defuse time very short it would be nearly impossible to defuse the bomb once it was planted simply due to the number of spots the bomb defuser can be sniped from.
if the bomb sites were, say, top of military HQ and under the building on blue roof it might be better.

when i played bomb mode it was really easy for me as blue to defend the bombplaces with sr8. if its planted its easy to defend as red but not impossible for blue

The teams that where picked where very even yet red only managed 1 cap in 2 rounds compared to blue sides 20. Playing on red was miserable, not fun at all. I remember us having 3-4 people on the roof at any given time but we couldn't protect the flag. A timed attack from garage, doom and the front was unstoppable. Grabbing blue's flag was an even bigger nightmare. No fast options for grabbing the flag and multiple locations for them to hide and camp the flag.
From what I can remember of the two matches:
Blue always had garage, or at least 90% of the match.
Doom was also mostly blue territory. Red could get on it but only for a quick shot or two before getting killed.
Blue could set up a spawn camp in red lobby very easily and was really hard to stop.
Red getting the flag off blue roof was nearly impossible.
Superman is even on the superman server when only 3-4 people per side know what they're doing and the rest of the 10-15 people on the server hardly have a clue.
