Not to sound bitchy, but a couple things I would tweak in the current map rotation:

Change tequila to the non-fps hog of tequila2
Change Crossing to Crossing_beta2
Remove armory2 (don't know about this one though), seem the spawns are a little too random, but maybe that chaos is what makes it fun?

Either way, I love the old school map cycle and it is great to see maps other than SIDs being played.

I was wondering; is FSK exclusively only CTF? would there be any objection to throwing in a round of Team Survivor or capture and hold into the cycle? maybe one non-CTF every 8 maps or so. Take the rotation, and have the same rotation of maybe 16+ maps twice, and have the gametype modified for the 2nd time around - at least for just a few of the maps.

that sound like an idea?

we used to have a round of CAH on Temple in the cycle... it slows the server down and there is some bitching but it's a cool map. bombmode on armory2 or something like that might be nice to have in there.

Hey all you FSKers =]. First lemme say that I love your map cycle, I am an old schooler and I love playing old school maps. Turnpike, Casa, and algiers get reeeeeeealllll borrrrrring after a while.

Anyways, I was looking through the internet for some third party maps and I came up with three decent ones:
ut_rt.pk3 (resident terror)
ut_western.pk3
ut_scrimmage.pk3 (perfectly identical sides, very small map, looks fun)

I really like ur_scrimmage, although 20 people would probably kill the map. Resident terror is a cool (and pretty scary) map. Western is a pretty wide open map, just like armory2 but the spawns seem to be only in one place.

If I so recall the map was koth.pk3 ............ again Wily that map is so much fun.

No shit, filtration is my favorite SID map due to the symmetry and arena feel. Frog and I are going to work on this sometime this weekend as well as put on a February mapcycle.

Well do to the known fact that I F-N OWN Hostyle on every map the cycle is irrelevant to me as I play regrdless of what I am presented, although the few things I recommend are: more old maps as I have only been playing since 3.7 so I have never seen most of them make more maps Team Survivior on CTF maps some of the caps are too high. I think med/large size maps should have 5 or less and short maps should have 10 restrict 100+ pings(its not like you have a problem getting people to play) [ Edited Thu Jan 26 2006, 09:54AM ]

Ok folks, we're putting this cycle together right now. We're putting the Crenshaw_Test map that INVIS released awhile back since it's faster paced and less confusing than the original one, though it's a test map and doesn't have the music :-(

First of all Great Feb. map cycle. I would like to suggest these maps for the future Proving grounds (day or night) nimrod,arabian district, desertville, streetfight, milano,and I will try and check out Jihad to see if it is any good. Again great job on the map cycle.
