I consider my self to be an above average player (compared to all UrT players in general). I think most of us who play on Sunday nights fall into that category. A few are better than that. No need to name names. But every once in a while, an average or above average player can be a heroe. I'm not the type to blow my own horn, or to type"mstats" every minute or so in order to bask in my own glory. I tried to set this to music but failed. It's from last Sunday and is only a couple of minutes long...

You seem to run out of stamina pretty quickly...are you wearing kevlar?
Re: Heroes Boogie Knight, Sun Feb 06 2011, 05:12PM
I dropped the kevlar at spwn because I saw that the flag had been taken and I would have to try to catch up. Maybe I hit the wrong button, but I was pretty chewed up all over the place just before I died. While watching the dm file in slow motion I reached the end of our brick tunnel and JUST got a glimpse of the fc (his leg and foot and part of the flag I think). as he disappeared where those two statues are. I thought I didn't have a chance of catching him and so close to his base he was sure to have cover. But he dropped it for someone else.

Nice save. As to the stamina, I use Kevlar all the time, but it you time your circle jumps just right, you can fly pretty far even with Kevlar.
Re: Heroes Boogie Knight, Mon Feb 07 2011, 06:06PM
Yeah, I should save the stamina, but I would spawn and SPRINT up those two flights of stairs to the right. By the time I got to the top or just as I was going in the door to the bar, I would be pretty low.
Re: Heroes Squrl, Wed Feb 09 2011, 02:52AM
I understand why some use the kevlar, it saves you from being killed so easy. For people like me...who's gun aint as good as others yea I should probably wear it but I have tried it a few times. I just can't do it, makes you to slow and cant run half as far or fast as someone without it.
The people who have a good or great gun...I don't understand why ya'll wear the kevlar though.
I remember one time on Rihad I tried it and from the spawn I got to the hill and was winded, whereas without it I can get to the opposing teams camel corner and still have at least 2 bars of stamina left
Frog told me one time the faster you are the harder you are to hit, which is true. I can out run a lot of people an have avoided quite a few gunfights I knew would be lethal to me if I stayed and fought.
So the way I see it, if I know I can out run you with a little help from map cover an doin a little zig zagging....Peace Im out!

Different roles require different equipment. Understanding roles changes the game. Knowing who is good at what role, knowing what role you excel at... Implementing and adapting accordingly.. priceless.
