unable to authenticate original disc within time limit
ZELLIS, Sat Aug 21 2010, 04:08PMi just bought the game last night, it took forever to install and did not create any shortcuts. once i found the executable, it prints out this error. "unable to authenticate original disc within time limit". I bought the game brand new from bestbuy. any thoughts? im scouring the web for answers but am coming short on answers.

sounds like a connection issue to the EA authentication servers... maybe check your firewall..?

did you choose installation limit or disk authentication?
also if your having a problem you can always try the digital d/l with the EA download manager if it's not your firewall blocking EA auth servers

FIXED.. oddly enough, my video card driver needed to be updated... makes no sense to me, but fixed the issue. took an hour with live support but it works.
