In your Q3UT4 folder delete the file called quake3cfg.cfg.
If you've made a lot of changes to that file you may want to rename the letters after the dot to something like .old
When you rename or delete the cfg file and then start UrT, it will create a new cfg file and set everything back to like it was when you first installed the game. That should work.

i didn't want to start a new thread for this, so thought I'd ask it here

i'm having a problem where when I try and reload the urban terror server list and keeps telling me it's getting information from 0 servers. it's fucking weird. anyone had that problem before?

Close urban terror. Reopen it. Press get new list. That works most of the time. If that doesnt work you have to do something with the server masterlist or something like that.

Default is seta cl_master "master.urbanterror.net" (what yours should be now)
Change to seta cl_master "master.quake3arena.com"(if the first thing doesnt work.)

This problem is fixed in UrT 4.2. Just ask Mr Bond, he knows all about it.

i tried new list refresh list refresh server server settings none of that works. I even uninstalled and reinstalled urban terror, didn't work. My computer is weird, it keeps giving me errors with games, I keep thinking of debugging it but that cmd shit is confusing and i wouldn't know if drivers are effecting it or if that's just some unrelated garbage.

anyway aside from that I'm thinking that the master server cl_master thing might be a good idea. How do I switch default of master.urbanterror.net to master.quake3arena.com? I'm only assuming that would fix it. I'm sure it's an internal error in computer, but I figure it wouldn't open if it didn't connect with quake3arena, doesn't it need to do that simply to install?

anyway I don't know wtf I'm talking about. Where do I change master serverr cs_master to a different default. I could play around with it. Change it. Change it back again. Flip it around see if it kicks in. Sometimes these computer errors are just dumb problems that don't kick in until you reset everything a few times, which could mess up some other things but what do I have to lose. Thanks

You should be able to do it in your Q3config...

I was making a joke. ;)

You'd be able to download it from urbanterror.net if it was.

so wait I have to open quake 3 then?
Re: problem loading UT

No. Look for a file named q3config.cfg. That file contains all of your UrT settings.

UrT is a modification of quake3. There are quake3 quirks littered throughout UrT.

jaker...just a wild, crazy guess here...when you start UrT and you click playonline, check at the bottom of your screen and be sure that after Source: it says Internet.

it said internet the whole time. But for some reason it just fixed itself. Don't know what happened I'd say it was aserver error but no one else had it. Weird. Thanks see you guys there
