BC2 and Nvidia.. what drivers?
LadyHellfire*, Mon May 31 2010, 04:33PMI had some problems early on with wide, horizontal black bands flashing on the screen. I grabbed the latest Nvidia drivers, but it still happens every so often. Only game it happens with. I did grab the EVGA tuner, and set the fan speed to 70% which seems to have helped a little, even though overheating does not seem to be an issue. Does not matter the quality level I set things to. Temps on auto run about 70c during heavy gameplay, about 60c with fan at 70%.
Vid card is an MSI GTX275 Twin Frozr OC, completely stock.

Not done reading, no mention in OP, but might be something deeper in.
On a related.. is there a utility that will allow me to test my vid card? Want to see if it is something with the hardware, or software.
Oh- and to Hud and Pmac: tried to add you as friends, but no accepting yet; I am only using the game name of "Jaenelle" now. I add the FSK tag as an option, not part of my name, so it is just "Jaenelle"

Anti-virus was the culprit!!
Updated drivers, still happened occasionally. Used EVGA utility (MSI's sucks) and set fan to slightly higher speed. Still happened. Turned off anti-virus- success!!!

Actually considering just using the MS stuff with W7. Discussing it with several other music studio people... supposedly, MS actually got something right.
