TeamSpeak 3 tests... nice !
SG, Mon Dec 21 2009, 08:52PMI have tried the TS3 server and client on my server... ouahhh the quality is surprising. One of my friend came and it change a lot the voice, much more accurate like "closer" more human real voice.
1) The best thing for the transition period between TS2 and TS3 from the server point of view is that i can be connected to TS2 and TS3 on the same computer and ask for TS2 users to install TS3 client and reconnect on the same IP (the port number of TS3 is not he same than TS2 so no trouble).
2) File transfer work like a charm when proper settings done on router and firewall.
3) Few surprising features like spacial direct 3d sounds positionning system. You wanna ear kickbuut on your left and nikki on your right.. no problem ! like people were around a table.
4) no more usr/password, first login make a uniq id for you on the server. Just remember that if you want to keep your identity you should export this uniq id (CRTL + I) for later use/reinstallation. The server will recognise you even if you change your "login" name.
If you want to test your voice on TS3 you can go on mine, i will try to keep it up 24/7 like TS2..

I look forward to know how you will use and configure all the TS3 thing. I understand and use the "token" feature for admin purpose but there are a lot of new things to discover and set for the user perspective. On a server like yours this will be a nice challenge to do :-) Mine is much more simple to set and admin, you will have so many peoples/ channels / and i guess virtual TS3 servers .... i wanna see that ! Good luck to set all the thing up ! (may i send you a virtual coffee ?)

1st trouble....
if you have "invalid parameter size" when connecting to a TS3 server after setting the phonetic version of your nickname, reduce the phonetic string bellow 20 or even eraseit (menu self / set phonetic nickname).
It will connect again.
