RC3 is available for testing, download at:

ut4_bridge_rc3.pk3 (~22mb)

I have a release candidate of a map if anyone is interested in trying it out. I am going to make another version of this with a moving train instead of two stationary ones. Comments appreciated.

cute how someone hacked the image...

I'll compile a moving train RC2 version tonight.

Also ut4_laberinto and ut4_intermodal will happen at some point. I'm not doing any major changes to them just tweaking and cleaning up. I think since triangle count is less of an issue now I will increase the detail a bit.

Sorry there are some issues in RC2, I will make another version. Apparently the spawn groups aren't working right in RC2 and one of the bomb points needs to be moved.

Also I haven't been able to get a .aas file to compile for bots yet so I should probably do that before the next release.

this RC3 is different or is a better version of RC2.
i´ve been on map exploring already and seems really good.

lots of places to hide from cops :P

Was playing on the map a while back. I fell off the side of the bridge with the flag and lemminged. The flag did not auto return its self and there is no way to get to it.

Also the moving train does not kill you just pushes you. Was that intended?

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to have an object move like that and hurt you. The Q3A engine only allows an entity (in this case the train) to do one thing.

Hope all is well. I'd like to apologize for my tardy response. I somehow just stumbled across this thread. As you know, FSK405 is a great supporter of the third party mappers. We will get this up on one of our servers in the next couple of days and get some information back to you. Once again, and this goes out to all third-party-mappers.... Ok, the flag not returning is a problem. I really need to get bots working with this to help with testing.

I can't make the train stop or do damage. The code for both is in the file so if 4.2 fixes those things that don't work in 4.1, it will be there. It has sounds for stopping and starting, a 5 second stop time, and substantial damage if it hits you.

I also saw a problem where the train got stuck in CTF mode, anyone else seen that? Stuck and not on the tracks.

two more items:

odd brushes here and all along the length of this wall, as they don't clip the player.





you can get on the cables and run the full length without getting hurt.

it's intentional that only the bottom of the cables causes damage to the player, because of a short circuit with the train. Otherwise you should be able to walk on that, I think.
