There is another map.. was a variation on a stock map (added gates/ramps in center, plus walkways around the edges up halfway).. PG28 or something? Great pistols only map..

Balanced, nice routes... original is nice for anything except CTF
There was another version that was huge that I liked as well, but that has been gone forever..

Unfortunately, Filtration is "broken" (in some manner), and Poseidon is not usable.. textures form Q3 maybe?
Will look into both.. great maps!

Mandolin is an atrocity. I very much like herring but find it pretty unpopular (I can't see why, really).

Atrocity is what makes it so fun! Herring hasn't had much popularity because servers don't have that map. I remember that, when it was on the previous Map cycle, (not sure which month, but the server had it) it was very popular and server was always flooded with players.

Herring is... cluttered. It also will usually cause errors when swapping to next map (kick + error, player must reconnect). This error may be due to other maps, of course. It was used in STA this season, and overwhelmingly was shot down afterward. IMO, it is between being a great pistols only map, and being a map that deserves all weaps. Additionally, it has very little.. "pop" to it as far as jumping, sniping, etc. I have spent time trying to find redeeming qualities, but so far.. none.
Mandolin.. (sigh)... unbalanced to begin with. Feels.. unfinished? With two teams of people that can work the map, it can be alot of fun. On a pub, that will not happen often.
