FSK405 Public Teamspeak and pubbie's usage of it

I mean, we have a lot of people to frequent our Teamspeak channel and it seems that a small number of those pubbies use Teamspeak regularly? Am, I just on at different times, or is it another reason? No mic? No headset? TS isn't downloaded? etc?

I have to tell you... I have been on there a lot lately and it has been a blast. The guys that frequent the TSServer (Sash, Yeti, R, Earl, Tom Morello, Ash, M, BenWa, etc...) are hilarious. They make the experience even more fun. At night I usually see 5-10 people on there. I think any more than that would require separate channels for each team. Its hard enough to get a word in on there if its just yourself and JIMBO for Christ's sake!

Hmm.. One reason may be that some are ignorant of where to get the client. A link on our TS PAGE to the download may be helpfull. Also a link on our Links page would be good too.
Too bad the TS client is not integrated into Quake itself. :(

I checked out the new website http://www.goteamspeak.com and did not see any info on the Mac version so maybe they are no longer planning on it.

I wonder if a proxy would work. Are there _any_ TS or RW-like apps for Mac? When I played at home back when we used RW, I couldn't use the mic due to bugging my wife but it was very helpful to listen. I'm thinking a proxy could send the inc voice to you.

VPC+Teamspeak can work but since audio processing is fairly resource intensive my guess is it wouldn't work very well, if at all, during gaming. I recently acquired some software necessary for my VPC setup and will be giving TS2 a crack on that - but like I said it's not really worth trying while gaming. Linux-Wildo is an open source effort to develop a true cross platform voice comm app for gaming purposes. Anybody with coding experience should join up and help with the effort. If the TS2 team isn't working on the Mac version anymore they should send the bloody Macs Apple GAVE them back to Apple. But a quick check to the FAQ forum over @ the teamspeak site shows that they do still intend on a port. We'll see. *crosses fingers and wishes the TS2 team the best of luck*

Some one with mac programming experience should approach TS2 team and offer to do the port for them. I would, but dude, i do windows, i dont do mac. ;)
