I confess that the one-on-one scenario on Superman bodes especially well for arc jumping and sniping.

Let me think about some team competition ideas, Dank. It'd be a nice change of pace for the regulars and it's easy enough to convert the.$heila.Divine server over for a couple matches. My mind is already swimming with team possibilities. These matches could be a real bitch to win.

Your competition but a few possible options..

g_hotpotato .5 -- (30 second hot potato for no flag stand offs)
g_respawndelay 5 -- (allows a player to have a chance to catch the flag carrier) - knowing you going to do your fancy jumping
g_respawnprotection 0 - (re spawn protection is for the weak)
capturelimit 10
g_flagrespawndelay 3 - ( 3 minutes to hide the flag without being there to gaurd it)


2-v-2 instead of 1-v-1 (challenger gets to pick a approved player as back up - PS. I get BP) - kinda need a team mate on a map like Superman

Regardless. your vision your challenge you set the rules.

If you're challenging, send me your email. We'll coordinate a time. I'll discuss server rules with mindriot. It'll probably incorporate most of the setting Dank suggested. And it'll probably be 10 points on each side, with a sudden death cap if the score is tied (as the challenger, you'll get to pick the side for the sudden death point).

Just for the record, Resistance beat Sheila fair and square. He said you were trying to say that he had help. I was a spectator, as you know, under my name. I watched the match on the plasma tv in my living room while he played on the PC in his bedroom upstairs.

Resistance is going to post his demo so Sheila can see that he was not being given and directional information on Sheila's whereabouts. We play this game for fun and quite frankly, accusing one of the best players in the game of cheating because you lost is, I thought, beneath you.

It didn't feel like Resistence was cheating when we played, but I told him yesterday that it was not okay to be asking my whereabouts on Teamspeak. This was supposed to be fun, not devisive. You and sig are two of my favorite players on Superman. I'm pretty sure he didn't really cheat, but how would you feel if after you lost a close game that the opponent was asking for help repeatedly to the players watching, one of whom was his dad?

But I'm over it. I"ve won one and lost one. This was never meant to embarrass anyone's reputation but my own. So maybe it's better if it's over altogether.

Sheila - don't sweat this stuff. You know UrT has always been a dramafest categorized into OMGHAX, easily pointed fingers, Oswald (speaking of lol), and little kids playing in the big kids' internet. When fingers are getting pointed, drama is amidst! So say fuckit whatever, back to your biz... but quitting the game as a whole for issues in a small tournament? Honestly, this contest will barely show up on the historical radar. I doubt anyone's reputation even gets scratched over this, unless a person cvar's themselves a /kill followed by a /quit.

Suck it up man. Always plenty more drama to go around, anywhere. Don't get upset, get a better plan for next time.

Nah, Wily, it's not that. I'm teaching six classes at Penn State with about 120 students. I need to focus on the incessant grading and if Urban Terror is around, a 30 minute break turns into two hours.

My server is still up and mindriot is still hosting it. I kinda meant for the contest to be my retirement farewell, but it got off to a slow start and I'm out of time. Maybe next summer....

Cortizone shots are not good long term, as responsible doctors will only give a max of 3 shots to any one area of the body for life. If cortizone is overused, it will destroy all tissue (muscle, tendon, ligament, cartilage).

I've struggled with tendonitis, and finally found a method that worked great for me. The book is Pain Free: A Revolutionary Method for Stopping Chronic Pain by Pete Egoscue. It addresses pain throughout the body with simple exercises, with the goal to make the proper muscles do the work. I was skeptical at first, but I saw significant improvement in many areas of my body after ~6 weeks. You have to commit to it, as it's either live with the pain or do something about it.

Having a proper ergonomic setup is important as well. This basically means your workspace should be configured so that:
- sit up straight
- knees at ~90 deg
- elbows at ~90 deg
- shoulders relaxed (not shrugging at all - i don't use arm rests)
- shoulder pulled back (this can be tough if you're not used to it - Pain Free exercises help strengthen the back so it becomes natural)
- head above your shoulders (not forward)

no need to spend a ton of cash on a setup. i use a shelf board, which sits on my lap, to hold my keyboard and mouse. doesn't have to look pretty, just has to work.

I think I got 2 or three near the elbow. They put it in the sheath that covers the tendon. I thought the three shot rule was for a year. Anyway, I only had a maximum of three but that was a few years ago. Been fine ever since. I have also got them in the shoulder where the collar bone meets the shoulder and it helped for a while but the ortho guy wanted to cut about a half an inch of the bone to get rid of what was arthritis. I opted to try the glucosamin/chondroitin pills and got relief within a few hours after a year or two of suffering with ibuprophin. I started with the best stuff I could find. It was from Life Extension. They make a variety of supplements and are kinda pricey. When I tried other cheaper ones I began to suffer again. Got pretty good relief from Sam's Club Member's Mark formula. I think Life Extension changed their formula because the last stuff I bought from them didn't look the same or work as good. They had twoproducts, one was Arthro Pro wich had other ingredients such as nettle (anti-inflamatory). That's what I used for quite a while and never knew I had Arthritis. It's supposed to actually regrow tissue or joint or something. I think it's lef.org if anyone is interested. It used to be Dirk Pearson and Sandy Shaw products.
