Level 4hi guys,
I have hit the "memory leak" trouble with AMD driver since I have updraged to windows 8. I have resinstalled all from scratch and everything is up-to-date.
After 2 ou 3 game switch (at the end of the game, the new map is reloading, 1x 2x ...) my memory is 98% full (started at 37% before the game, 68% during 1st game) and of course game became very laggy. After that I have to reboot.
It seems to be a very known issue with AMD driver in BF community. ATI is aware of this and will relase a fix in next driver coming ..... (soon ?)
The only 100% workaround I found is to go out of the game just at the end, before the new one load. But what about staying in your squad, in the same team.... So I am trying to find a acceptable workaround to be able to stay in game.
Do you guys encountered this, and do you know something better, because right now I am bored going out of the game or reboot when i forget to do so.... ?

9 years agoTue Mar 03 2015, 05:33PMLevel 4good news and bad news.
In today BF4 patch, description say: "few corrections for AMD mantle driver users". And yes, playing with this patch and in 32b mode seems for me to have resolved the memory leak trouble.
The sad thing is: I am now back to several game crashs during the day.

9 years agoLevel 10SG - apologies that I didn't respond in game but you were offline. So sorry that you're facing these issues. Wish there was something else you could do 'cept for using Intel inside. Soon enough your fix will be released. Hang in there and play more Urt instead! :-)

9 years agoSat Mar 21 2015, 11:25PMLevel 4I found something. I revert back to game in 64b mode and as i saw in a forum set the 2 executables bf4.exe and bf4_x86.exe to compatibility mode for windows 7 (right click properties all user set compatibility there) . No more memory leak tonight ! I hope it will stay like that !

9 years agoSun Mar 22 2015, 11:23AMLevel 10Do you loose any FPS ? When you do that because windows 8 is supposed to give you a boost of 3% over windows 7. You can run heaven benchmark on each configuration to find out.
